The work of artist and fashion designer Ayzit Bostan combines art and design, exploring the boundary between the seemingly mundane and the unassumingly specific. With her understanding of reduced yet poetic design, Ayzit Bostan anticipated the beginnings of the slow fashion movement right from the start of her freelance career. Ayzit Bostan works in a wide variety of scales and materials: from expansive textile room installations to fashion and silver bracelets. Based on an apprenticeship as a craftsman, she now teaches at Kunsthochschule Kassel, designs for selected companies and runs her own label in Munich.
