MCBW TALK & CONNECT
- DESIGN SCHAU!
Türkenstraße 91, 80799 München
With five talks from design and related disciplines and the opportunity for exchange, the new live format MCBW TALK & CONNECT provides insights that expand our horizons of vision and thought.
Following this year's MCBW annual theme "Moving Horizons", the talk format MCBW TALK & CONNECT is dedicated to our desires for solutions and models to jointly manage necessary technical, sustainable or cultural changes. Design in particular has the potential to shape transformations collaboratively, to communicate emotionally and to offer social orientation. In interdisciplinary discussions, we discuss this potential, focusing on various facets of transformation.
Design journalist Dr. Oliver Herwig begins the talk series with a brief insight into the potential of design for social transformations. In the second talk, econcept CEO Ursula Tischner presents how design can trigger the transformation of production and consumption systems towards greater social and environmental sustainability. Brand strategist Sina Port shows how organizations can harness the power of diversity and purpose for brand development. She will be followed by Italian National Innovation Fund President Francesca Bria, who will show how digital transformation can be shaped in a collaborative and transparent way. Finally, author and journalist Wolf Lotter will talk about distinctiveness and diversity as an important resource for the transformation to a knowledge society.
With a welcome from Dr. Markus Eder (Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy) and Katrin Habenschaden (2nd Mayor of the City of Munich).
The event will be translated live into English.
