Karin Schmidt-Friderichs

Karin Schmidt-Friderichs, aka KSF, studied architecture with a focus on urban planning and architectural history. In 1992, together with her husband Bertram Schmidt-Friderichs, she founded the publishing house Hermann Schmidt in its present form. In addition to the programme (together with BSF), she is responsible for marketing, sales and PR. KSF is a member of ADC, the Society of Typographic Designers, Amnesty International, the Hospice Society and Reporter ohne Grenzen. Since 2019, she has represented the entire German book industry as head of the Börsenverein des deutschen Buchhandels.
