Cool, loud, smooth, cosy, golden - what do fabrics sound like? Students of TH Rosenheim present a multi-sensory sound installation in the showroom of Swiss textile editeur Christian Fischbacher.
Students of the Faculty of Interior Architecture, Architecture and Design (IAD) at TH Rosenheim are exhibiting the experimental sound installation „Fabric Jungle" in the Munich showroom of Swiss textile editeur Christian Fischbacher. The installation was developed under the purview of Prof. Gabriel Weber at SensLab, Laboratory for Multisensory Design, in cooperation with Renate Rieder from Christian Fischbacher. Fabric Jungle plays with our perception of fabrics and expands it into a surprising auditory experience. Smooth, colourful, iridescent, cosy, soft, transparent - by transforming textile qualities of different fabrics of the collection into subtle sounds and noises, the quiet showroom turns into an interactive sound installation: the Fabric Jungle.
