The pandemic has put a spotlight on the existential importance of health and culture for each individual as well as for society as a whole.
In 2019, the WHO (World Health Organisation) evaluated more than 3,000 scientifically supported projects and research papers as part of a meta-study. Across the human life cycle, the figures show the importance of arts and culture for prevention in terms of health promotion, disease management and treatment, as well as for counteracting loneliness through social participation. The WHO now runs its own department for Arts and Health.
Despite the available facts, there is still no universal self-understanding of a living practice of "Healing Culture" in this country. Insa Schrader, founder of the Healing Culture Network, will present the diverse spectrum in an impulse, and introduce and discuss exemplary projects in different social areas as well as their makers.
Participate in our survey and win one of three illustrated books of Tom Hegen’s series "Habitat".
