The swing installation MCBW Public Space, designed exclusively for MCBW by OHA (Office Heinzelmann Ayadi), captures this year's theme MOVING HORIZONS in a spectacular way.
"A traverse spanning across the lawn, a new horizon between Alte Pinakothek and Film Academy. Twelve swings invite you to engage in movement, defy gravity and gain momentum. Whether you are a child or an adult - being on the swings induces joy, smiles and cheerfulness. An invitation to let go and experience lightness, encounters, and new orientation. A portal of MCBW." - Office Heinzelmann Ayadi
The join-in event for this year' s theme MOVING HORIZONS seeks to draw attention to a new perception of life that has been intensified by the Covid pandemic and other crises: insecurity about the shifting scales as well as the necessity and opportunity to navigate them with flexibility. Moving horizons becomes a playful experience in this installation. The motion of swinging - a state that mirrors the contrast between the tension lines of the horizon and our own position.
The installation will be open to the public every day, starting on 2 May. Courtesy of Kunstareal München and Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlung.
