"Neighbourhood design - Sustainable Design of Communal Living Spaces". A project of the AfA in cooperation with Feddersen Architekten.
The event seeks to highlight options for action and design for the development of neighbourhoods in the municipal sector. To this end, four projects will present themselves in short lectures. The projects all pursue a holistic approach in the sense of "universal design". They create synergy effects for the benefit of all generations and facilitate social participation.
Following the impulse talks, the possibilities for the structural implementation of flexible, modular and variable neighbourhood concepts will be discussed in a dialogue with the participants. In moderated "station discussions", they can address various questions in small groups to broaden their perspectives beyond prior knowledge and the respective motivation of the stakeholders. The event will conclude with a final "sharing" of the results in the plenum, followed by snacks and exchange.
The Coordination Office for Care and Housing is a project of the AfA - Arbeitsgruppe für Sozialplanung und Altersforschung GmbH (AfA) and is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care. In cooperation with Feddersen Architekten, an architectural firm with a focus on intergenerational living, the partners are curating the practical workshop "Neighborhood Design - Sustainable Design of Communal Living Spaces."

We see universal design as a meta discipline of design. We support companies, the science sector and society in the development of analog and digital products, services and concepts.
