UX @ Google - Beautification to Differentiation
- CREATE BUSINESS!
- Panel discussion
Erika-Mann-Straße 33, 80636 München
UXers at Google Munich help users manage their privacy and safety, create design systems at scale, and internal tools. Come hear about the ways in which we build more helpful products for everyone.
Our Munich-based UXers will deep-dive into the collaboration that lead to Material You on Android 12 - the user-centered approach we take towards our user’s Privacy and Security - and other key projects that touch Google users every day. We will talk about our approach of evolving design as a mere beautification to design as a market differentiator.
We are especially interested in talking about the role that UX design plays in people's everyday lives, and the ways in which technology can empower people across the globe. Material You, our most expressive and adaptable design system yet, turns users into co-makers in the User Experience by leveraging key systems like colour and typography.
Our local teams also include UXers from the Google Safety Engineering Center (GSEC) in Munich, which is a global hub for privacy and security engineering and where Google designs, builds, and tests privacy features and technologies for users around the world. UXers from GSEC are working on a number of interesting design challenges including privacy and security controls in the Google Account and the Chrome Browser.
UXers will share their knowledge, best practices and helpful resources for designing user privacy and security experiences, and show how to establish a user-centric product organisation.
