After a bank education, Dr. Angelika Nollert studied art history, archeology and German studies at the universities of Würzburg and Münster. She worked for exhibition projects in various museums, ia. „Skulptur. Projekte in Münster 1997". From 1997 to 2000 she was curator of the "Portikus" in Frankfurt am Main and in 2001/2002 she took over the project management of the "documenta 11" in Kassel. From 2002 to 2007, she was the Project Manager for Fine Arts at the "Siemens Arts Program" in Munich, and from 2007 to 2014, she directed the "New Museum - State Museum of Art and Design" in Nuremberg. Since May 2014 she is the director of the „Die Neue Sammlung - The Design Museum“.
